NYC April 9 & San Francisco April 10 Demonstrations Oppose U.S. Wars and Demand Demonstrators in New York City and San Francisco stood firm in their stand against all U.S. wars and aggression, condemning U.S. attacks on Libya, continuing wars against Afghanistan and Pakistan and the occupations of Iraq and Palestine. The actions represented the united stand of workers, youth and seniors with people from many nationalities, a strong contingent of Muslims, Palestinians, and Filipinos as one demanding All U.S. Troops Home Now! Through signs and chants people expressed their stand as one with all those fighting nationwide and worldwide for their rights and rejected U.S. claims to be giving "humanitarian" aid and defending democracy. There is no such thing as U.S. Bombers bringing "humanitarian" aid! Banners against drone attacks, defending Gaza, rejecting U.S. imperialism wherever it spreads its tentacles were evident. Many also opposed the attacks on workers in the U.S. and rejected the trillions in funding for wars abroad. Fund Our Rights! Fund Education, Healthcare, Housing! Stop Funding War! was the spirit of many demonstrators. Voice of Revolution salutes all those who demonstrated against U.S. wars and for the rights of all. We urge everyone to strengthen our fighting unity and organized resistance by stepping up organizing efforts for May Day 2011! New York City, April 9, 2011
