Teachers and Students Stand Up for Quality Education
Teachers and students in various actions in schools citywide took their stand for quality education in our public schools. They demanded smaller classes, more music and art, field trips, more aides and in general an all-round education for the whole child. Demands for No Common Core, More Teaching Less Testing, Waiver from Testing and the Equal Right to Education were also present. The actions included breakfast get togethers, rallies and marches, where teachers and students discussed their concerns and how to have their voices heard.
