Salute to Demonstrators March 20 & 21

Defend the Rights of All Abroad and at Home!

The U.S. Marxist-Leninist Organization salutes all those joining to ensure the success of the mass actions taking place March 20 and 21. Anti-war and immigrant rights organizers from across the country are engaging many thousands of people in standing against militarization and all U.S. wars and repression. Youth are in the forefront, demonstrating that they will fight the rich, not their wars! Many organized forces are coming together to strengthen their unity in action and in the course of this build their working relations and ability to further build the organized resistance.

The March 20 dmeonstration is demanding All U.S. Troops Home Now! End All U.S. Wars and Occupations! On March 21 the demands are for immigrant rights — to End the Raids and Deportations! Legalization Now! Reform legislation that meets these demands is required.

The demonstrations taking place give expression to the determined stand of the peoples that An Injury to One is an Injury to All. This holds true whether that injury is taking place against the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan, or it is directed at immigrant families and communities here at home. The peoples here and abroad are saying NO! to aggresive wars and NO! to attacks on rights.

The government’s border death wall, detention camps and mass deportations of more than 387,000 immigrants without cause in just the past year — 120,000 more than Bush in his last year in office — are an integral part of the militarization of the country. Obama’s massive war budget is coupled with an increasedbudget for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of $56.3 billion. It includes $4.6 billion for 20,000 more Border Patrol agents and for completing another section of the border death wall in Arizona. The DHS is also dedicating $1.6 billion for enforcement of the hated DHS programs, like CAP, responsible for mass detention and deportations.

We applaud all those rising in resistance, in DC, in Palestine, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, around the world. This growing resistance shows that the imperialists are failing in their efforts to terrorize all into silence and submission.

It is resistance that is the path to peace. It is strengthening organized resistance in the course of fighting for the rights of all that is the path to progress and a bright future.

Voice of Revolution urges all participants to build on the fighting spirit expressed in these actions and to work toward increasing the unity of all the organized forces. This can be done:

1) Through joining together for united May Day actions. These are being organized in cities nationwide. Let us go all out to work together for May Day!

2) Through giving consideration to developing a slate of anti-war candidates for the 2010 and 2012 elections. We need an anti-war government that stands against all aggression and brings All U.S. Troops Home Now! We need an anti-war government that acts to End the Occupation of Palestine and End U.S. Funding for Israel. We need an anti-war government that stands for Nuclear Disarmament Now and respects the sovereignty of all countries big and small. We need an anti-war government that Stops the Raids and Deportations Now and provides Legalization Now! We need an anti-war government that defends the rights of all by acting to Stop War Funding! Stop Paying the Rich! Increase Funding for Social Programs! Building such an anti-war government is up to all of us together, as we, the organized forces, are the only ones we can rely on!

All Out for May Day 2010!
An Injury to One is an Injury to All

Defend the Rights of All Abroad and at Home!
